Tell me if this cycle doesn’t sound familiar. . .

1. Enthusiastically advertise your upcoming classes for a few months.

2. Enroll the “first wave” of students, most coming back from the last season or semester.

3. Hold your breath and hope that more enroll as the year goes on.

4. Realize that over time you’re losing many of your students to soccer, lacrosse, and gymnastics.

5. Scramble to figure out how to add a new program to help pay the bills.

6. Realize that there isn’t that much more profit this year than last year and hope for a better year next time.

7. Rinse and repeat next year. . .

This is a very common and very vicious cycle that many dance studio owners go through year after year. Every year there is hope for next year, and then every year life seems to get in the way.

This kind of emotional roller coaster isn’t just devastating financially, it’s dangerous to health, happiness, and freedom.

“But all of us were taught that all we need to do is bring a great product to market and believe in ourselves and eventually everything will work out. Reality is much different.”

I’ve talked to many studio owners who’ve spent thousands of dollars on marketing and new programs without seeing a single sale come from them! Years of going through this cycle and wasting money on ads, new programs, and even consulting that don’t work out can really add up. (And it’s not just money, but the time you never get back as well.)

So many studio owners have created beautiful spaces to train, are excellent instructors themselves, and have literally dedicated their lives to the success of their own students. But that success in the business world continues to elude them. It’s like running after the little carrot on a stick while stuck on a treadmill. Frustrating!

It has nothing to do with them not providing an awesome product. But all of us were taught that all we need to do is bring a great product to market and believe in ourselves and eventually everything will work out. Reality is much different.

How do we break the cycle?

We need to stop this downward spiral and get you out of panic mode.

I think you would agree that that’s no way to run a business.

I remember my dad always reminding me as a kid:

“If you always do what you’ve always done, you’ll always get what you’ve always gotten.”

In order to change the results we have to be willing to change what we’re doing. No one is going to magically change it all for us.

Albert Einstein said the same thing my dad would say in a little bit of a different way:

“We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them.”

You got into this business to give yourself control and freedom in your life, but right now with everything spinning and no clear path to more success, is it the exact opposite of what you wanted when you started your studio?

Breaking the cycle takes work, but it’s so worth it.

How do I know? I was there. I felt the same panic every month wondering if we’d be able to pay the bills.

I had to change the way I though about my studio. I had to make some massive changes to what I was doing so I could finally get what I wanted.

If you’d like my help to show you exactly how you can break this cycle then we should chat. Head over to this link and let me know a little bit about your studio and your situation:

Then we can schedule call and I’ll show you exactly what the next steps are to finally break the cycle and build a profitable studio.

Take a deep breath. Change can be hard, but it’s worth it. You can do this. . . you’ve done the hardest parts already.
