Do you know how to tell if your dance studio is a business or just a hobby?

Have you done the math to figure out how much you’re earning per hour at your own studio once all the bills are paid?

Lots of studio owners can afford to run their studio as a hobby. Many have a spouse or other family member that is able to supplement their income and it might make sense for them to just run their program without it
being profitable.

More power to them!

That wasn’t the case for me. When it came time for me to give up a full time job (more than 15 years ago) with reliable income to run my studios full time it was a MAJOR DECISION for us. I had to make this work. No more free-loading! I had a family to support. The studio was going to finally have to pull its own
weight.

“Lots of studio owners can afford to run their studio as a hobby.”

I wasn’t going to let anyone else carry the weight of financial responsibility
for me or for my family. The studio was going to make it!

Great idea, right?

I learned pretty quickly that without the right systems in place this wasn’t going to just magically start working.

Maybe you’ve been there.

I had no idea what I was doing wrong. We had awesome programs, amazing teachers, a great facility. Why weren’t people just lining up at the door to sign up for classes?

Maybe you’ve felt that.

It was frustrating.

I had fully dedicated myself to the studio’s success, but that wasn’t yet enough.

Today I’ve cracked the code and I run all of my programs with only 4 – 5 hours of input from me every week. It’s awesome and I’m dedicated to helping other studio owners make that transition as well.

They don’t have to rely on someone else’s money to supplement their studio.
They don’t have to worry about whether or not they’ll have enough to pay the rent or the staff.
They don’t have to be scared that the phone has stopped ringing (at any time of year).

There is a better way.

But, if you always do what you’ve always done, you’ll always get what you’ve always gotten.  I’d love to talk to you more about your studio and what your goals are. If you’d like to take 30 minutes to chat about what changes will help your studio to grow my team and I would be happy to spend that time with you for absolutely FREE.
