Facebook used to be a great source of easy free traffic.

Once upon a time your business page could post something and it would almost immediately show up in the feed of all of your followers. But, as Facebook has updated its algorithms this is no longer the case. Now it’s all “pay to play.”

Dance studios that post a lot can still get some engagement on their posts, but it’s almost impossible to turn any of that into paying students any more.

Maybe you’ve experienced this already.

You spend hours recording little videos, editing photos, coming up with events you think the Facebook world will want, and posting as often as possible. It’s tough to automate this process or outsource it to someone that doesn’t understand your studio.

Posting and boosting events is almost like throwing money down a hole. Just because someone says they’re “coming” to an event doesn’t mean they’ll actually show up.

“BY POSTING ORGANICALLY TO FACEBOOK YOU’RE SENDING MORE TRAFFIC TO YOUR COMPETITORS.”

It’s too easy to commit to attend an event by clicking that little button. Actual show-up rates are lower and lower all the time.

But that’s not the worst of it. If someone clicks on one of your posts, or stops scrolling long enough to view your video, Facebook’s artificial intelligence now knows the kind of content they like and will start serving them your competitor’s content.

That’s right, your work to draw attention to your studio actually works to draw attention to your competitors as well.

BY POSTING ORGANICALLY TO FACEBOOK YOU’RE SENDING MORE TRAFFIC TO YOUR COMPETITORS.

And, that’s not all.

They’re constantly testing new things and rolling out new options. They offer capture forms, and split tests, and chat bots, and advanced tracking, retargetting, and budget optimization, and . . .

Why are they making things so complicated?

Remember, Facebook wants you to SPEND MORE MONEY on their platform. If you follow their best practices and do everything they recommend then that is what will happen. Your clients will end up spending more time on Facebook and you’ll end up SPENDING MORE MONEY. That doesn’t mean that you’ll get better results.

The good news is that what’s actually working today on Facebook isn’t really complicated, and it’s the basic “bread and butter” parts of their paid platform.

It’s simple to learn, but it’s not intuitive. You’re going to have to spend a little time on it.

We spend very little time actually on Facebook, but we spend a reasonable amount of money every month and we’re getting some AMAZING results.

And we have the numbers to prove it. That’s part of what makes the Facebook Ads Manager so useful – clear reporting. You’ll know right away if something is working or not and whether you should spend more on a campaign or cut it altogether.

This Facebook ads strategy is just on small part of our “Automated Dance Studio” system, but it’s an important part and you should be using it too.

That “Automated Dance Studio” system has been specifically designed to work in every market, no matter the location, or how much competition there is.

But, it’s not for everyone. The studios that get the most out of it are the ones that are actually ready to grow quickly. If you think your studio is ready then head to this page:
