When I finally cracked the code and was able to enroll a huge number of new students into my studio consistently, I was also finally able to make some huge improvements in my own personal life.
One of the first things that I did was hire someone to work the front desk. I remember that as the first real step to getting to where I am now. Today I only do the work at the studio that I enjoy and that I want to do. EVERYTHING else is outsourced or automated.
I’m able to travel, pursue my hobbies, volunteer with the non-profit organizations that I support, and ,most importantly, to spend time with my family. I still have young kids at home and am grateful that as a father I can take time to be a part of what is important to them in their own lives. (I know that it’s a rare thing, and I’m grateful for it.)
I would not be able to do any of that if I hadn’t invested in myself, and my business.
I invested the time and money necessary (often more than necessary) to educate myself. Then I turned my attention to the business itself.
I invested in marketing that worked.
I trained my staff to follow systems that actually worked.
I WOULD NOT BE WHERE I AM TODAY IF I HAD NOT BEEN WILLING TO INVEST IN MYSELF FIRST, AND THEN IN MY STUDIO IMMEDIATELY.
“Anybody that tells you that you can run a successful studio without putting in the work is lying to you.”
Ask yourself this question:
How would my life be different if I were able to add 100 NEW students to my studio in the next three months?
Really think about it. What would you do differently? What changes would you make in your life? How would you spend your time?
This type of visualization exercise is key to reaching your goals. In part that’s because it helps to create the motivation that it takes to actually put in THE WORK.
Anybody that tells you that you can run a successful studio without putting in the work is lying to you. It can be hard work. It can be scary work. Often it’s risky work.
But, if you can see yourself on the other side of that work, you can more easily endure the temporary inconvenience that’s between you and that success.
I’d love to help you create a specific checklist of steps to help you reach your goals for your studio. (Whatever they might be.)
I just redid my weekly schedule and opened up a couple additional spots to talk to dance studio owners about their goals, and to show them exactly what they need to do to reach them.
I’d like to talk to you about your goals too.
If you’re willing to share just a little bit of info about your studio and your own personal goals, I’m confident I can help you accomplish them.
But, I don’t work with everyone, and my own personal time is limited. The sooner you get on my schedule the sooner you can implement!
I can’t wait to meet you and to learn more about you and your programs.
