Are you just tired? Tired of not feeling like you’re successful? Tired of not feeling like you’re doing ALL that you were meant to do? Tired of being a slave to your studio, rather than having it WORK FOR YOU? Tired of not being sure what you should be doing to make things better?
We all get burned out every once in a while. What’s dangerous is when it’s happening too often.
When you’re burned out your students and staff can feel it and they get burned out too.
Students that aren’t being nourished the way that they need to be won’t stick around for long, and they won’t be able to develop as quickly and they should.
Staff that’s neglected or feeling burned out is even more dangerous. Let this go on too long and it’s not uncommon to end up with staff members that go off and start their own programs, competing against you for business and taking a good chunk of your students with them. I see it all too often.
Here’s the problem. Your studio will always either be growing or dying. If you’re burned out and not able to care for your business the way it needs it will start to wither. That’s not my rule, that’s the universe’s rule.
We’re all subject to it.
How good are you at caring for your studio, your students, and your staff when you’re burned out?
So how do we fix this?
“When you’re burned out your students and staff can feel it and they get burned out too.”
It might seem counter-intuitive, but we’ve actually got to get you OUT of your studio.
EVERY STUDIO OWNER THAT I TALK TO IS SPENDING AT LEAST SOME OF THEIR TIME DOING WORK THAT THEY SHOULDN’T BE FOCUSED ON.
If we can get you OUT of your studio it becomes a lot easier to see what’s going on, to take in the whole picture.
You’re less likely to get burned out, and you’ll have more energy and time to focus on the parts that need the most work.
That doesn’t mean that you can’t be doing the work you still love. Lots of studio owners love to teach, so they keep doing that.
Here’s the key. ALL of the work that you do over the long-term needs to meet the two following criteria:
1. You like doing it.
2. It makes a REAL and MEASURABLE difference to your studio business.
It’s everything else that we get rid of.
The good news is that once studio owners become capable of recognizing what work needs to get done they can grow their studio programs by DECREASING THE AMOUNT OF WORK THEY’RE DOING. Weird, right? What if you could decrease the work you’re doing and still see your studio grow?
But that’s ultimately the secret. Stop doing the work that’s burning you out, and focus more on the work you enjoy and that helps your program grow. Everything else we either outsource to staff, or find a way to automate with software.
Obviously I’m over-simplifying things just a little bit here. You’ve got to make sure you’re outsourcing in the right way and at the right time. (Too many studios are trying to automate systems that are broken in the first place. We’ve got to fix that first.)
However, a lot of studio owners don’t believe me when I tell them they can make more and still work less, and this is exactly why.
So, are you ready? Are you ready to stop feeling burned out? Are you ready to work less and make more?
It’s going to take some effort at first getting everything in place. Fortunately, we’ve done a lot of that work for you already and we can show you exactly what to do next.
Let’s get on the phone and chat to see how much of a difference this can make for you.
We’ll spend some time talking about your studio and your goals, and that will help us to decide if working together makes sense.
IMPORTANT: I DO NOT WORK WITH EVERYONE.
I understand pretty well what kinds of studios and studio owners I can help and who I can’t. For example, I don’t work with studio owners that aren’t interested in making real change, or that just want help feeling better with where they’re at. I’m interested in working with studios that want massive growth and I’m good and that.
If that sounds like you, I’m excited to talk with you about your goals.
Good luck in everything you do.
