QR Code Generator

Dance Studio Business Statistics

Why do so many studios track the wrong stats?

QR codes have rapidly become a key component of print advertising for studios. I rarely create any kind of print advertising anymore without one.

They make it SO EASY to move people from your print marketing to digital assets like your website, Facebook pages or groups, or even event registrations or ticket sales.

Then, once that happens it becomes trivial to retarget these clients, and stay in front of them. That’s not something we could do just a few years ago with a flyer in a coffee shop. Today. . . it’s just no big deal.

But, there are some shady folks out there with “FREE” QR code generating tools that don’t actually redirect directly to the digital asset you might want them to. They’re first doing a sneaky redirect to their own site, tracking the traffic and then sending the visitor to the desired location.

Why does that matter?

It allows them to hijack the traffic, hold it hostage, and charge you a monthly fee to get that QR code to continue working. Unsuspecting studio owners have printed an expensive advertising run only to find out that the QR code now requires a ransom to be paid for it to begin working again.

So, we began a search to see if we could find a good free QR code generator to use that we could recommend to our clients. Couldn’t find one that did everything we wanted. . . so we just built one.

Here’s the link to use the QR code generator tool we’ve created:

And please, if you find it useful let us know. We love to hear the creative ways that studios have found to implement what we’ve created.
